SCRAM CLASSIFIED
The Scram Classified is the first titanium gravel bike equipped with the New Classified shifting system. Pilot Cycles and Classified Cycling have joined forces by creating a bike that has a single chainring set-up, but has all the benefits of a double chainring set-up! The Classified Powershift hub is the alternative for the front derailleur, offering the same functionality while getting rid of all the downsides. Combine this revolutionary shifting system with our beloved titanium Scram gravel frame and you get the ultimate gravel titan!
The latest addition to our Pilot clan is equipped with mounts for mudguards, luggage racks and bottle cages on and under the downtube (ideal for bike packers who use a frame bag). The frame offers space for tires up to 700cx50mm, or 27.5×2.2, so it will easily roll over any kind of terrain. We can’t think of one thing that this Scram Classified is not up to!
CLASSIFIED POWERSHIFT HUB EXPLAINED
The Classified POWERSHIFT system incorporates the functionality of the front derailleur in the rear hub, allowing you to change gears instantaneously, under full load and with uncompromised ratio coverage and gear steps. Classified’s shifting technology also has extra aerodynamic and aesthetic advantages: in less than 150 milliseconds you can shift between the virtual chainrings, even when applying 1000 Watts of power to the pedals.
Shifting gear with the Classified Powershift hub is wireless. A shifter or a satellite shift button will trigger a shift and is attached to the Smart Handlebar Unit, sending out a Bluetooth signal. The Smart Thru Axle receives the wireless shift signal and will trigger the hub to shift using contactless energy transfer. The Powershift hub, when receiving the signal, will shift between 2 ratio’s. Nice to know is that you will find the battery in the smart thru axle, so not in the hub itself. This comes in handy when charging the hub after approximately 10.000 times of shifting.
TITANIUM X GRAVEL = GOLD
Gravel and titanium belong together like Bert and Ernie. The natural damping qualities of titanium filter out the little humps and bumps that the road throws at you. At the same time you won’t have to worry about accidentally scratching your frame when you are riding some rough terrain, because every little scratch can be removed easily with the patch of scotchbrite that you receive with your Pilot!
All brake and shifter cables are nicely concealed and run internally through the frame. Another striking point of this gravel racer are the wishbone seat stays. This not only gives a unique appearance, but also brings more stability to the rear part of the bike.
